Downtown Louisville filled with smoke from a pre-dawn apartment building fire.
The incident was initially called in as an awning on fire on the outside of the building, Louisville Fire Capt. Donovan Sims, told WLKY.
When firefighters got there, they found the second and third floors on fire. The interior crew soon discovered the top part of the building was on fire as well.
The fire went to three-alarms and firefighters remain at the scene Monday afternoon.
The four-story building was declared a total loss.
